88 No Show for Open Day

 

The Trust's ex S & D 7F No. 88 will not be making its scheduled appearance at the Trust's Open Day at Washford Station for its annual inspection on Sunday 25th April.  

This is due to remedial work being carried out on the locomotive's regulator not being completed in time for the Open Day, as castings required to complete the job at the West Somerset Railway's workshops at Minehead have not yet arrived.

The Museum and shop at Washford will still be open for Trust members and members of the public to visit. Opening hours are from 10am to 5pm. Trust members are also reminded that the Annual General Meeting will be held at Edington Village Hall near Bridgwater on Saturday 24 th April.
