Exhibition A Success!


The Trust’s exhibition about the opening of the Wells branch at the local library (pictured above ) has now closed.

The exhibition, held at the beginning of March, commemorated the opening of the branch 150 years ago, in March 1859. Librarian in Charge, Sharon Maddock , said that there was great deal of interest from local people. It is also hoped some new members will have joined the Trust as a result!

To complement the exhibition, Mike Beale gave a talk on the anniversary, and over 50 people filled the hall at Wells Museum for the event.
