Washford Museum open days 2008
The Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust has announced the planned schedule of open days for its Museum at Washford, on the West Somerset Railway.
The Museum is planned to be open for visitors as follows:
March 8/9, 13-16, 21-24, for the West Somerset Spring Galas and Easter
May 3-5, for the Spring bank holiday weekend
then continuously from May 24 until October 5
then October 25/26, for the West Somerset Autumn Gala
and December 27/28, for the WSR Winter Steam Festival.
The SDRT Museum houses an unrivalled collection of artefacts commemorating the much loved Somerset & Dorset line. John Smith, the SDRT’s Museum Curator, said: “We look forward to welcoming both old friends and new visitors to give them a taste of why this famous line is so fondly remembered.”
