The 40th Anniversary of the founding of the Somerset & Dorset Railway Circle, predecessor to the Trust, was celebrated with a special luncheon at the Battleborough Grange Country Hotel, Brent Knoll, on Saturday 25th February, 2006.
The event was organised by the membership secretary, Ian Briggs with a small sub-committee. Principal guest speakers were David Milton and Dr Peter Cattermole. pics © Ed Melville

Illustrated commemorative menus, printed on fade-resistant card, were presented to each guest. A copy of the menu was signed by every guest and has been retained in the Trust's archive at Washford station. Framed copies of the menus may be purchased from the membership secretary for between £15 and £20, depending on the style of frame selected. A donation will be made to the Trust in respect of each copy sold.
