The Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust is dedicated to all matters relating to the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway (SDJR) and its associated undertakings.
As well as collating information about the history of the line, the Trust is very active in keeping the spirit of the S&D alive with its extensive Museum and facilities at Washford on the West Somerset Railway.
The Trust regularly hosts SDJR related meetings and events.
APPEAL - KILMERSDON WORKSPLATE
An original worksplate from the Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust's 0-4-0ST locomotive Kilmersdon, built by Peckett in 1929, was recently put up for sale. Due to the short notice it was not possible for the Trust to make a bid, so a Trust member purchased the plate with the intention of transferring ownership to the Trust, following a successful fundraising appeal.

A selection from the S&DRT's archive of superb colour slides of the line taken by the late John Woods between 1958 and 1967. Trust members welcome.
