BATH AREA - SDRT & The Swanage Railway

Venue: St. John’s Church Hall, St John's Road, Bathwick, Bath (close to the fire station). An admission charge of £1.00 will be made to cover cost of hiring the meeting room, to include cup of tea or coffee or cold soft drink. Meetings commence 7.30pm unless otherwise stated.
   
January 2nd/3rd SDRT Annual Model Railway Exhibition Display at Edington Village Hall, Edington
January 4th Subject TBA - A further selection of slides of historic railway scenes with Mike Dodd
March 1st The Somerset and Dorset Part 2 (Evercreech to Bournemouth) Part 2 of the look back at this much loved local route. A slide presentation wit Chris Youlett and Dave Walker.
April 26th TBA
July 5th Here, There and Roundabout - Slides from the 60s and 70s, Steam and Diesel, from "all over the place" with Bob Bunyar.

Venue: All meetings to be held on a friday evening at the Colliton Club, ajacent to County Hall, Dorchester. Car parking between club and library. Meetings start at 7:30pm. Admission £2. Car park now £0.50

BRIDGWATER & SOUTH SOMERSET

Venue: Meetings held on Saturdays at Cleaveside Community Centre, Queen Camel starting at 7.30pm, unless stated otherwise.

HAMPSHIRE
Organiser: Rosie Jacob, North Common Farm, Landford, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP5 2EL (Tel: 01794 390241)
Venue: Eastleigh Railway Institute, Romsey Road, Eastleigh. Meetings commence at 7:45pm (doors open 7:15pm) with a retiring collection at the end, around 10:00pm. Bar available for refreshments. Meetings take place on Wednesday evenings, jointly with the RCTS Solent Branch and the Southampton and Waterside Group of the Mid-Hants Railway Preservation Society.
   
January 20th Railway Artefacts Steve Bigley shows that awnings and seats are just some of the places where railways showed their identity.
February 17th The Hayling Island Branch Peter Keat illustrates the story of this much loved line
March 17th The Swanage Railway Mike Stollery will give an update on this local railway
April 21st War Department Locomotives Mike Hudson returns with a talk about austerity locomotives which lasted alot longer than expected
May 19th The Isle of Wight Railway Jim Loe looks at the operations of this preserved railway
June 16th Observation Evening at Eastleigh Station (from 17.30hrs) Come along and view the rail activity
